Chocolate Brownies
Ingredients:
- 2/3 cup Butter or Margarine, melted divided
- 3/4 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp. Baking soda
- 1/2 cup Boiling water
- 2 cups Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1-1/3 cup Flour
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 10 oz. Semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup Coarsely chopped pecans
- 1-3/4 cup Hot water
Procedures
- Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C]
- Generously butter 9×13 inch [23x33 cm] baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine cocoa and baking soda; blend in 1/3 cup melted butter.
- Add boiling water; stir until well blended.
- Mix in sugar, eggs and remaining butter.
- Add flour, vanilla and salt.
- Stir in pecans and chocolate chips.
- Pour into well greased baking pan, bake for 35.
- Underdone is better than overdone!!
- Cool
